At least 80 young doctors in Canada have died since the rollout of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine and the implementation of the country’s vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. These deaths have spurred concerned physicians to call for an end to the mandates.
Some of the most recent deaths of Canadian doctors include seven physicians who died between August to September. They were Dr. Vincent Chi Wai Mak, a rheumatologist from Markham, Ontario; Dr. Patricia Kresan, a family physician from Barrie, Ontario; Dr. Patricia Harvey, an ophthalmologist from Hamilton, Ontario; Dr. Maria Chang, a family physician from Toronto; Dr. Carl-Eric Gagne, a cardiologist from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec; Dr. Matthew Foss, an anesthesiology resident from Hamilton; and Dr. Michael Marshall, a psychiatrist from Edmonton, Alberta. The hospitals and healthcare systems and dozens of other Canadian physicians have all insisted time and again that these deaths have nothing to do with the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters that they, with support from Canadian federal and state authorities, were forced to take.
Five of the physicians listed above died unexpectedly. Harvey died after battling an unspecified illness for six months. Gagne, despite being an expert athlete with no history of heart disease, died during a cycling event of an apparent heart attack.
Canadian Medical Association implored to end vaccine mandates
In a public letter, Dr. William Makis urged the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) to open an investigation into the sudden deaths of dozens of young doctors and to end the vaccine mandates for all healthcare workers.
Makis, a nuclear medicine physician trained in oncology and radiology and the author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles in multiple medical publications, warned that the number of Canadian doctors under 50 who died has doubled compared to the number of deaths from 2019 to 2020.
“Shockingly, doctor deaths under age 40 are fivefold higher, and doctor deaths under age 30 are eightfold higher,” warned Makis.
Makis noted that the CMA just recently sponsored an international conference with the main topic of discussion being the health of physicians. He noted how hypocritical it was for the CMA to discuss physicians’ health while ignoring the effects the vaccines had on health and mortality.
“The one topic they didn’t discuss: Young Canadian doctors dying suddenly and unexpectedly after COVID vaccine rollout,” he said.
Makis has provided the CMA with all the information it needs to be certain that at least 80 doctors in the country have died suddenly or unexpectedly since the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines, warning that the association has a moral imperative to investigate these deaths and end the mandates.
“You cannot continue to ignore this,” said Makis in his letter addressed to CMA presidents Dr. Katharine Smart and Dr. Alika Lafontaine.
“You cannot stay silent while illegally mandated COVID-19 vaccines may be killing dozens of young Canadian doctors and putting thousands of doctors at high risk of severe injury and death,” added Makis. “I implore you again to call for an immediate halt to all COVID-19 vaccine mandates in Canadian healthcare.”
Makis believes that not only is it unethical for the CMA to continue supporting vaccine mandates, it should also make them legally liable for the deaths of Canadian doctors, especially if a link between the deaths and the vaccines can be proven in court.
