Elon Musk has reinstated Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal Twitter account.
Greene’s non-congressional account was permanently banned on in January for posting Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The platform claimed it was Greene’s fifth “strike” for spreading “COVID-19 misinformation.”
The congresswoman had been considering filing a lawsuit against Twitter over the ban.
“I’ve already talked to an attorney,” Rep. Greene stated on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show in October. “I spoke with him last week, because I believe this is a complete violation of my freedom of speech.”
On Monday, Rep. Greene celebrated the return of her account.
I’m the only Member of Congress the unelected big tech oligarchs permanently banned.
On January 2, 2022, they violated my freedom of speech and ability to campaign & fundraise crying “covid misinformation.”
My account is back.

Musk has also reinstated the account belonging to former President and current 2024 candidate Donald Trump, though he has not yet returned to tweeting.
Project Veritas, the Babylon Bee, and other high-profile right-wing accounts have also been returning to the platform.
What do third party statements have to do with the rules of Twitter?
Either there are objective rules or we live under the whims of billionaires, which obviously is the case. https://t.co/KUOMcnwpIo

However, Musk has said that he will not reinstate Alex Jones because he took personal offense to his comments about Sandy Hook.
