Two men from Ohio lost their lives early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Brecknock Township, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police.
Manav Patel, 20, and Saurav Prabhakar, 23, both from Cleveland, died when their vehicle veered off the road, hit a tree near the Reading Interchange, and then collided with a bridge, officials reported. The coroner confirmed that Prabhakar was driving at the time.
Both men suffered multiple traumatic injuries, and the coroner ruled their deaths accidental.
Police said the crash happened around 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the turnpike. A third passenger, seated in the front, was injured and taken to Reading Hospital. As of Monday, the hospital had not released an update on their condition.
